My husband came with wheezing and chest pains and his blood pressure was 170/124 and they released him, this hospital is a damn joke.

I hate going here to be honest. I went there in the worst, excruciating pain I've ever had. I told the doctor I thought it might be gallstones because 2 other family members had them and my sister said the symptoms sounded exactly like hers when she had gallstones. He didn't even test to make SURE at least that I didn't have them; only did blood work, didn't order any scans, and misdiagnosed me with gastritis. After another excruciating attack of pain a month later that lasted over 4 hours, I went back to ER with a different doctor assuming it was still gastritis and sent me home with no scans. Later that month after a general doctor ordered an ultrasound, I found out it was my initial worry, gallstones! I had my gallbladder removed finally with no more attacks. Other people I know have also had bad experiences here.

Worst experience ever . Will never be back, and nobody I know will either. One particular nurse, if that's what he calls himself needs to to learn some manners. Good thing I went to UK the next day, and was diagnosed properly! This place don't even deserve a one star rating

If I could put zero stars I would. I took my 2 year old son the LCRH ER Sunday evening. He had been lethargic, running a high fever, and was unable to walk. We didn't wait very long in the lobby before the brought us back. They got us in a room and the doctor almost immediately came in. He wanted first off to check how he walked. So I put him down to see what he would do and of course, he started crying pretty loudly. The doctor didn't even give him a chance to get started and told me to put him back in the bed. So I did and he said we should do some blood work and he would return shortly. Some nurses came in and did a work up. Swabbed him for flu and strep. Also took him to get an X-ray on his hip and pelvis. When the X-rays came back, the doctor came in and said everything was fine and we could go home. I asked about doing the blood work, and said he didn't think it was necessary. I told him I wanted it done. He was upset about that, but went ahead and sent the nurses in to draw some blood and do one more X-ray. Shortly after, he came back in. Said everything was fine and it was time to go home. I was completely livid at that point that they didn't go any further to find out what was wrong with my son. To make this a little shorter, my sons family doctor recommended that I come up to U.K. ER in Lexington. And it's a good thing I did. My son had to have surgery at 1AM this morning because he has something called Septic Arthritis. If I had listened to these people at the ER, it's hard telling what would have happened to my son.

I just have to say that all the staff on the maternity ward and Dr. Cunningham are among the best people i have ever been blessed to have met. They really care about their patients and do a wonderful job. You all have made my experience a great one, and I cant thank you enough for all the help, the advice and the care you provided. My daughter and I want to say good luck to each one of you, we wholeheartedly thank and appreciate the time you took for us and the treatment you provided. You all have shown that this is much more than just a job/career, it radiated how this is a beginning to new life and good health that you wish for each woman that comes through your ward. Thank you LCRH maternity and Dr Cunningham. May God bless you! ❤
